Responder for Resilience
Join us and participate in this Responder for Resilience (aka 1K Volunteers for Resilience) programme to acquire skills and be deployed for various volunteering opportunities such as First Aider or Befriender in Singapore Red Cross Society (SRCS) and build a resilient community!
About this programme
This training programme focused on strengthening the Singapore Red Cross’s role in meeting the humanitarian needs in the community both in Singapore and abroad to support the transformative initiative, One Billion Coalition, by the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC). The objectives include the following:
Building an organisation that is “ Making A National Impact - Being of Global and Regional Significance”
Building ONE Strong National Society - Strengthening the Foundation Departments
Building Resilient Communities in Singapore and Beyond through meaningful, relevant, dynamic programmes that enable and supports
Criteria:
Minimum 16 years old and above
Must attend all three (3) courses to complete this programme
What can you expect?
This 2 weekend programme is consist of the following sponsored courses:
Standard First Aid + AED (2 days)
Psychological First Aid (1 day)
Befriending (1 day)
Upon completion, you will be able to:
Be certified as a First Aider to perform life saving skills
Provide psychological support to uplift and support affected persons
Demonstrate befriending skills and develop ethnical befriending relationship with beneficiaries
